AUTHENTICITY Theater Inc

ABOUT US

WHO WE ARE

Authenticity Theater Inc. is the Georgia not-for-profit corporation that operates our theater and education programs.

The corporation was formed in December of 2021 and began operations in January 2022. Our organization is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors who provide guidance and oversight.

MISSION

To entertain and inspire audiences through thought-provoking productions that create awareness and reduce stigmas of real human issues

VISION

  • Be a voice in our community creating impact on key social and cultural issues
  • Contribute to other organizations who mirror our desire to make a difference
  • Help empathy and compassion grow and thrive to heal and change our society

ACTION

We select shows that have something to say. Our goal is to not only entertain our audiences, but to create thought and discussion about important topics that impact our community – socially and culturally.  You can expect shows that speak to important issues like:

  • Mental illness
  • Substance abuse
  • Divorce
  • LGBTQ issues
  • Poverty
  • Domestic Violence
  • Immigration
  • Sexual Abuse

We also seek out like-minded charitable organizations who are making an impact to address these issues.  Shows will have partner organizations so we can work together to foster awareness and change

Theater Staff

Sasha Keefer

Sasha Keefer

Executive Director | Artistic Director

Sasha Keefer has been involved in theatre and acting for over 35 years. Her love of theatre began in elementary school with her first production of “Oliver.” After studying at The North Carolina School of the Arts and doing shows in high school, Sasha went on to The University of Georgia where she received her BFA in Theatre. Sasha also studied Education after college which she turned into a great career while acting on the side.

Fast forward, after taking a break from theatre to raise her son, she is making a comeback to her passion of acting. She is currently building a career in acting in film,

Sasha founded Authenticity Theater in 2021 to build a new opportunity for performers and artists, and to use the theater experience to raise awareness of important social and cultural issues. This has been her dream for many years and it’s time to make it happen!
